Menlo Park recently adopted one of the nation's strongest packages of local building codes, or reach codes, that electrify existing buildings and help phase out gas appliances. This landmark victory represents years of advocacy by Menlo Spark and environmental partners, proving that small and mid-sized cities can lead on climate action.

“All the hard work by Menlo Spark, city staff, and a coalition of environmental organizations and residents has put Menlo Park at the cutting edge of environmental and climate policies in our country.”

Jeff Schmidt, District 3 City Councilmember, Menlo Park
