LuLu’s

Composting and Recycling Cooking Oil

Kimberly Williams is manager of LuLu’s on the Alameda. The restaurant won a 2015 award for leadership in recycling and composting by Recology. Kimberly lists the various ways the restaurant is helping reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment:

  • Recycle a portion of our cooking oil so it can be made into biodiesel fuel as well as high-energy, high quality pet and livestock feed.
  • Separate all our refuse into compostable products, recyclable and trash to reduce, reuse and recycle.
  • Utilize compostable paper products in our restaurants and for catering supplies.
